Ever wonder what happens after you send off your portfolio or what you could do to make your work stand out from among a sea of potential applicants ?

On Thursday, February 22nd, 2018, NYC ACM SIGGRAPH and NYIT's Department of Digital Arts & Design are hosting a panel with pros from the video game industry - both veterans and newcomers - where they will discuss what it takes to be part of the art production side of things. We will cover topics such as common pitfalls when preparing your portfolio, how getting into the industry has changed in the last few years, and what makes a great job candidate.

Speakers
Natalie Asport, Hard Surface Modeler @ Avalanche Studios
Natalie's present focus is on vehicle and weapon art. Previously, she served as an Environment Artist in Avalanche's last project, "Just Cause 3." When she is not working at Avalanche Studios, she pursues other creative and artistic endeavors in the city.

Lawrence Mascia, Founder @ Goodnight Games
Lawrence teaches Game Design and likes long walks on the beach and pina coladas.

James Ritossa, Hard Surface Artist @ Avalanche Studios
