The teams formed on site include collaboration among students from the Digital Design program in the School of Art + Design and IT students from the NJIT's College of Computing Sciences. During the past Game Jams Events (2011, 2012) student teams developed a number of exciting video games such as Seed.Genesis, LightCopter, Blasteroids, and Fireflies, just to name a few. With 70 participants in 2012 there was plenty to see and test.
Global Game Jam @ NJIT is an opportunity for all student to get involved in an exciting event, meet students from other colleges, and learn how to create games by working with colleagues; finally, have your own video game. Energy and enthusiasm is enough to get started. The rest you can learn while jamming with us. If interested sign in at the Global Game Jam web site (globalgamejam.org) and add NJIT (globalgamejam.org/sites/2014/new-jersey-institute-technology) as your local site, or contact Andrzej Zarzycki, organizer at andrzej.zarzycki(at)njit(dot)edu
If you cannot participate, stop by our final presentation on Sunday, January 26th at 5 PM in Weston Lecture Hall 1, or anytime that weekend to cheer student teams and be the first to test new games.
