Digital fine art printers Victor Acevedo and Rick Uhler will take you on an informal tour of Spectra's studio explaining the ins and outs of digital printmaking. They will talk about Spectra's array of printers including the IRIS 3047, their two ColorSpans (models 6000 and the DMXII) and their brand-new Roland Cammjet which prints up to 50" wide using a pigmented inkset which is rated by Wilhelm Imaging Research to last up to 170 years. Moreover, Roland prints done on some substrates are waterproof. Members should arrive at Spectra by 6:30PM. Between 6:45 - 7:30pm, Victor and Rick will take small groups through the studio for a complete tour. From 7:30-8:00pm Spectra Digital will present in-house PODgallery directors Kevin Mutch and Simon Herbert who will talk about POD (Print on Demand) theory and their latest activities. We'll have an informal discussion & meeting wrap up from 8:00-8:30pm.
