Bring Your Own Animation (BYOA) - Monday, May 20, 2013
After an 18-month absence, our first BYOA had a triumphant return on April 22, 2013. We'll look to build on that success in May.
This is your chance to share what you've been working on with the rest of the NYC-area digital media community - and to check out what others have been doing. Come and meet other animators, exchange tips and ideas, maybe even find a future collaborator. BYOA kicks off on Monday, May 20, 2013, at Smithfield NYC, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Industry Spotlight 11!
On Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at FIT's Great Reeves Hall, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM, NYC ACM SIGGRAPH presented our Eleventh Annual Industry Spotlight. This evening featured animation and post-production facilities from the NYC-metropolitan area. Over 250 people joined us as our presenters shared a bit about their company, showed some of their recent work, and discussed future projects. Companies that presented: Framestore, Light of Day, Mechanism Digital, The Mill, MPC, Mr. X Gotham, Psyop, The Studio, and UVPHACTORY.

Cross Roads - Engaged Media : Media Convergence - Concepts for Multiple Media and Expectations
This panel explored media landscapes and the challenge to adapt concept, design, and marketing to audience expectations and specific creative possibilities inherent in each media platform.

Global Game Jam 2013
NJIT's College of Architecture and Design will be a local site for Global Game Jam 2013, during which over 300 sites around the world (58 countries) will compete to develop game from scratch during 48-hour marathon beginning on Friday, Jan. 25th and ending on Sunday, Jan. 27th.
MetroCAF 2012

We had over 350 people attend the premiere of MetroCAF 2012 on Friday, September 28 at FIT's Haft Auditorium. It was a terrific show and we'd like to thank all of our MetroCAF 2012 contributors. Four pieces were honored with Jury Awards at the end of the program. These pieces are:

Industry Spotlight X - Thursday, April 12 @ 7:00PM
On Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 7:00PM, NYC ACM SIGGRAPH and FIT presented our annual round-up of animation and post-production facilities from the NYC-metropolitan area. Close to 200 people attended this celebration of the amazing work being produced in NYC.
